THE LEAD CASTING

Libro - Colata piombo.jpeg

The rituals related to energy cleansing via lead fusion are similar with slight differences.

Below is a description of the ritual which, in most cases, is performed.

Lead casting is generally done by elderly women who have handed down this ritual.
The person who does this ritual, and passes it on, has received "permission" to do it.

Such a ritual done by those who have not been given "permission" is said to produce no benefits.

The tools used to pour lead are:

  • ingots or pieces of lead weighing 250-300 grams,

  • a bowl full of water into which the molten lead is poured,

  • a saucepan (or ladle) suitable for melting metal,

  • a sheet to cover the patient's body,

  • some women insert a sugar cube, a needle, an onion, a piece of bread and a coin into the ritual, to better eliminate negativity and as good wishes for the patient.

The lead pouring process is as follows:

  • The lead in ingots or pieces is melted in a saucepan or ladle placed on the fire;

  • After the lead melts, the patient's head and body are covered with a large sheet;

  • The water is poured into the metal bowl, the woman takes the ladle / saucepan with molten lead in her right hand and the bowl of water in her left hand;

  • When the lead is about to be poured, the woman says "Not my hand, Fatma is our mother's hand" and then pours the lead into the bowl of water;

  • Molten lead is poured into the bowl of water on the patient's head;

  • Then the solidified pieces of lead are removed from the water, "read" and placed in the ladle / saucepan to be melted again.

  • The second time the molten lead is poured into the bowl of water on the patient's belly (always covered by the sheet);

  • Then the same process is applied, this time on the feet;

  • Some women complete the ritual by pouring molten lead onto the floor in front of the patient's home entrance door.

Each time, the interpretation of the lead is done by looking at the shape taken by the solidified lead in the bowl.

Thus the negative energy ... the violence of the evil eye or magic ... which afflicts the patient is judged.

There is someone who makes patients drink the water where molten lead has been poured, some patients consider it important to drink the same water.

Sometimes the patient cleanses his face, ankles and feet with the same water.

Generally the water is poured into a plant or garden of the patient's house.

It is believed that psychological breakdowns and diseases, which are thought to be caused by magic and evil, can be cured with the tradition of lead casting, which has a history of 3,000 years.

Prof. Dr. Emine Gürsoy Naskali (Faculty Member of Marmara University) said that the tradition of lead smelting is based on shamanism and has been carried forward with the aim of correcting human psychology since its appearance.

Prof. Nakasi said, "Lead can be poured to read the future, as well as to understand what is the disease in the person and to cure this disease."

Traces of this tradition can be found all over the world, and in this sense Prof. Naskali said: “Molten lead is the New Year's tradition in Finland. The Finns try to understand how the new year will pass by looking at the shapes that molten lead itself takes".

Dr. Zeliha Kayaaltı (Ankara University Institute of Forensic Sciences, Department of Forensic Toxicology, Assoc.) pointed out that "the lead casting process is carried out in closed areas and the steam released during the process negatively affects human health ".

Personally I can say that we perform 2 rituals at a time as needed (every one, 2 or 3 months), in a single ventilated environment, therefore we do not detect any damage from lead fumes ... the vapor emissions are insignificant.

Furthermore we periodically do the bloodletting (or hacamat, as it is called in Turkey) which, among the innumerable advantages, also has the benefit to eliminate excess so-called heavy metals from the body; therefore, if there is even an infinitesimal negative influence from this ritual, we eliminate this effect in another way.

Furthermore, I have never personally been able to understand the amount of heavy metals taken indirectly / unknowingly through food, breathed in the various environments ...

For us this ritual is useful for the benefit we derive from it, freeing our body from negativity.
